The VAS translator is a means to bridge the language barrier that can arise between a health care worker and a patient when making a diagnosis. With this app the health worker can adapt the question to the language of the patient. The VAS translator contains a slider indicator that can be used to indicate a value between zero and one hundred.
The ruler can be used as a VAS or an NRS scale. VAS stands for Visual Analogue Scale and is frequently used by physicians, specialists, doctors and treatment officers to have the patient indicate a level of pain. The initial and end value can be shown and the selected value on the slider can be displayed. The scale can also be expanded with faces indicating different moods, going from laughing to deeply sad. There is a wide variety of applications for using the scale.
The app supports multiple languages. Therefore the question can be asked in the patient’s own language. This is extremely useful when the treatment officer has patients he can’t understand due to language barriers. All questions can be adapted and added as translations in the app. A user can add multiple questions. There is no limit to the amount of variations you can insert. When opening the app the patient can select the language of the question that is most suitable, based on a flag and text.
!!! The app does not have an automated translation feature!!!
